Fading Point Shawl Kit
Joji Locatelli's lovely Fading Point wrap is constructed from both ends towards the centre, and then both pieces are connected with triangles to achieve a seamless rectangle. It's a reflective, peaceful project that's the perfect balance of simple lace and garter stitch. We recommend starting with the darkest shade and working toward a light centre, but you can mix them up however you like!
We've used a variety of beautiful yarns in our kits: Manos del Uruguay Fino (merino and silk), Malabrigo Mechita (superwash merino), Lichen and Lace 1 Ply Superwash (100% merino), Dream in Color Jilly (100% merino), Manos del Uruguay Alegria (superwash merino with polyamide), Malabrigo Sock (superwash merino), and/or SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock (superwash merino with nylon). Each kit contains either plied yarns or single-ply yarns (not a combination of the two).
26½“ (66 cm) wide and 88” (220 cm) long.
Needles: 2 sets of US 5 (3.75 mm) circular or straight needle. If you are using circulars, 24”-32” are good lengths, but choose any length you are comfortable with.
Stitch markers, stitch holders, waste yarn or an extra cable, tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires.
Your working gauge should be 22 sts and 44 rows. BUT your finished (pinned, stretched and blocked out) gauge should be 20 sts and 40 rows. Both gauges are given to 4” (10 cm) on US 5 (3.75 mm) needles in Garter st.
Please note that the pattern is *NOT INCLUDED* with your yarn pack: it can be purchased from Ravelry here.

Absolutely beautiful, exactly what I wanted. The service at Saltwater Purls is always exceptional and dealing with Gwen is a pleasure! I received my yarn so fast and I'm going to cast on tonight. Fading Point has been on my list forever but I couldn't find the right combination. I love the kits at Saltwater Purls!
